Oxra 5 mg Tablet is used in adults with type 2 diabetes to improve blood sugar control, and also helps manage heart failure and chronic kidney disease.

Uses of Oxra 5 mg Tablet are:

• Type 2 Diabetes: Lowers blood sugar by promoting glucose removal through the urine.
• Heart Failure Management: Helps reduce the risk of heart failure complications.
• Chronic Kidney Disease: Helps slow the progression of kidney disease.

Swallow the entire tablet without crushing or breaking it. 

Take it with or without food, but it is recommended at a fixed daily time for better results.

Oxra 5 mg Tablet is taken orally. 

Oxra 5 mg Tablet contains the following components:

• Dapagliflozin (5 mg): It is a sodium-glucose co-transporter-2 (SGLT-2) inhibitor and works by stopping the action of a protein called SGLT-2 in the kidneys. This action controls the reabsorption of glucose and sodium ions in the kidneys. By inhibiting reabsorption, dapagliflozin helps excrete excess glucose from the body through urine, leading to decreased blood sugar levels.
• Dapagliflozin not only lowers blood sugar but also protects kidney function and prevents further damage. Additionally, it reduces the stress on the heart, making it to pump blood more efficiently with less pressure.

The storage instructions for the Oxra 5 mg Tablet are as follows:

• Oxra 5 mg Tablet should be stored at room temperature, at 25°C.
• Please protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep away from children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

• Fill your plate with starchy vegetables, proteins, and whole grains, aiming for a balanced quarter-quarter-half ratio.
• Observe your blood sugar levels, especially when they fluctuate significantly. Regular checks are essential.
• Engage in at least 150 minutes of exercise or 75 minutes of high-intensity activity each week.
