CompositionOsteofos 70 Tablet is used to treat and prevent osteoporosis in adults, including postmenopausal women, men and people on long-term steroids, and to treat Paget's disease of bone. It helps reduce the risk of fractures.
It contains alendronic acid, a bisphosphonate. It works by slowing the cells that break down bone, which helps maintain bone strength.
Take it once a week on an empty stomach with a full glass of plain water, at least 30 minutes before food or other medicines, and stay sitting or standing for at least 30 minutes afterwards.
Tell your doctor about any swallowing problems, food-pipe disease, kidney problems or dental problems before starting. Report new or worsening pain in the jaw, hip or thigh, or difficulty swallowing.
