Side Effects of Ondero D 5 Tablet 10

How Ondero D 5 Tablet 10 Works?
ONDERO D 5 TABLET 10 contains the following active components:
- Dapagliflozin (5 mg): Dapagliflozin belongs to the class of sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors. It lowers blood glucose levels by reducing glucose reabsorption in the kidneys, thereby increasing urinary glucose excretion.
- Linagliptin (5 mg): Linagliptin is a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor. It enhances the levels of incretin hormones, which support glucose-dependent insulin secretion and reduce glucagon release, helping maintain balanced blood glucose levels.
Safety Measures & Warnings
Pregnancy
ONDERO D 5 TABLET 10 is not recommended during pregnancy. If pregnancy is detected, inform your doctor immediately, as treatment may need to be discontinued.
Breastfeeding
Breastfeeding is not recommended during treatment with ONDERO D 5 TABLET 10, as there is a potential risk to the infant. A medical decision is required to discontinue either breastfeeding or therapy.
Alcohol
Excessive alcohol consumption may increase the risk of dehydration and hypoglycaemia. Alcohol intake should be limited during treatment.
Liver

Kidney

ONDERO D 5 TABLET 10 may cause dizziness or hypoglycaemia in some individuals. Avoid driving or operating machinery if such symptoms occur.
Allergy
Do not use ONDERO D 5 TABLET 10 if there is a known hypersensitivity to dapagliflozin, linagliptin, or any component of the formulation. Seek immediate medical help if allergic symptoms develop.
Children

- History of pancreatitis: Linagliptin has been associated with rare cases of acute pancreatitis, and patients with a prior history may have an increased risk of recurrence.
- Severe renal impairment: Reduced kidney function may decrease the effectiveness of dapagliflozin and increase the likelihood of adverse reactions, requiring close monitoring or avoidance of therapy.
- Type 1 diabetes mellitus or diabetic ketoacidosis: This medicine is not indicated for these conditions, as it does not provide appropriate insulin replacement and may worsen metabolic imbalance.
