Omefol D Capsule 15

Omefol-D Capsule is used to relieve heartburn, indigestion, and acidity, and to treat conditions such as GERD and peptic ulcers that occur due to excess stomach acid production.

Uses of Omefol-D Capsule are:

• Peptic Ulcers: Helps heal sores in the lining of the stomach or upper small intestine.
• GERD: Reduces acid reflux and the burning sensation caused by stomach acid flowing back into the food pipe.
• Acidity and Indigestion: Relieves heartburn, bloating, and discomfort caused by excess stomach acid.
• Improved Stomach Emptying: Helps food move through the stomach more efficiently, reducing nausea and a feeling of fullness.

Here are the simple steps to follow while taking Omefol-D Capsule:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush, chew or open the capsule.
• If swallowing is difficult, open the capsule carefully and mix the granules with soft food like applesauce, yoghurt or fruit juice. Swallow this mixture immediately without chewing with a glass of cool water.
• Always take this medicine 15 to 30 minutes before a meal.

Omefol-D Capsule is taken orally.

Omefol-D Capsule contains two active ingredients that work together to combat various gastrointestinal conditions:

• Omeprazole (20 mg): As a proton pump inhibitor, omeprazole targets the proton pumps in the cells lining your stomach. These pumps are responsible for producing hydrochloric acid, which aids digestion. By blocking these pumps, omeprazole significantly lowers the amount of acid produced in the stomach. This helps heal damaged tissue and prevents further damage to the stomach and oesophagus due to excessive acid.
• Domperidone (10 mg): Known as a prokinetic agent, domperidone enhances the movement of food through your digestive system by blocking dopamine receptors in the gut. This action not only aids digestion but also reduces reflux, nausea and vomiting.

• Keep your Omefol-D Capsule in a dry place, safe from light and moisture.

   

• Store it in its original packaging to protect it from damage.
• Make sure it's out of reach of children.
• Always remember to use the medicine before the expiry date printed on the label.

• If you're managing gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) with Omefol-D Capsule, try to avoid spicy, fatty foods that can worsen heartburn and acid reflux. Instead, opt for a diet rich in lean proteins and vegetables.
• For peptic ulcers, avoid caffeine and alcohol, as these can increase stomach acid production. Consuming smaller, more frequent meals can also help reduce acidity levels in your stomach.
