CompositionOLMIN 20 Tablet is used to control high blood pressure (hypertension). It contains olmesartan, from a group of medicines called angiotensin receptor blockers (ARBs).
Olmesartan works by relaxing and widening the blood vessels, blocking the action of angiotensin II, a hormone that narrows them, which lowers blood pressure and helps reduce the long-term risk of heart and blood-vessel problems.
Take this tablet daily at the same time each day, with or without food, exactly as your doctor prescribes, and continue even if you feel well, since high blood pressure often has no symptoms.
Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning pregnancy, as this medicine is not suitable in pregnancy. Report persistent, severe loose motions (diarrhoea) with significant weight loss occurring months or even years after starting this medicine, as this can rarely indicate a bowel condition (sprue-like enteropathy) linked to olmesartan.
