Olmetime Am 20 Tablet 10

Olmetime-AM 20 Tablet is used for the following:

• Management of high blood pressure (hypertension)

• Risk reduction of fatal and nonfatal cardiovascular events

• Aid in achieving adequate blood pressure control in patients who have not responded sufficiently to monotherapy with either amlodipine or olmesartan

• Swallow the tablet whole with plenty of water.

• You can take this medicine with or without food.

• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.

• Always follow your doctor's advice regarding the dosage and duration of this medicine.

Olmetime-AM 20 Tablet is taken orally.

The effectiveness of Olmetime-AM 20 Tablet comes from two active ingredients:

• Amlodipine (5 mg): This component belongs to the class of calcium channel blockers. It reduces high blood pressure by preventing calcium from entering the cells of your heart and arteries. This action causes your blood vessels to relax and widen, thereby lowering peripheral vascular resistance and ultimately reducing blood pressure.

• Olmesartan Medoxomil (20 mg): Olmesartan Medoxomil transforms into its active form, olmesartan, in your body after absorption. It acts as an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). By binding to certain receptors in your blood vessels, it blocks the action of a hormone called angiotensin II, which normally narrows blood vessels. This blocking action results in wider and relaxed vessels, leading to lower blood pressure.

• Store Olmetime-AM 20 Tablet at a steady room temperature, below 30°C.

• Keep the medicine in its original packaging to protect it from light and moisture.

• Always keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.

• Be sure to check the expiry date and do not use the medicine if it has expired.

• Limit your salt intake. High sodium levels can raise your blood pressure, making Olmetime-AM 20 Tablet less effective in managing hypertension.

• Regular cardio activities like walking or cycling can help lower your blood pressure. Aim for at least 30 minutes of exercise daily to complement the benefits of Olmetime-AM 20 Tablet.
