Oflox OZ Tablet is used to treat bacterial and protozoal infections affecting the gastrointestinal tract, urinary tract, genital tract, and other parts of the body. It helps relieve symptoms such as loose motions (diarrhoea), stomach pain, and discomfort caused by these infections.
It contains ofloxacin, an antibiotic, and ornidazole, which acts against parasites and certain bacteria. Take the tablet exactly as prescribed and complete the full course. Do not stop early, as this increases the risk of the infection returning and becoming harder to treat.
Staying well hydrated and eating light, easily digestible food during treatment can help support recovery. Avoid alcohol completely while taking this medicine, as ornidazole can cause a severe reaction with alcohol.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any history of tendon problems, seizures, liver disease, or are taking other medicines. It is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Tell your doctor if you experience unusual joint or muscle pain, or any changes in mood or behaviour.
