• This combination is intended for adults and children. 

Contraindications of Ofloxacin + Ornidazole

• This combination is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to ofloxacin or ornidazole. It is also contraindicated in patients having central nervous system disease, peripheral nervous system disease, liver and kidney impairment. 

Medications To Avoid With Ofloxacin + Ornidazole 

• Avoid taking antidiabetics (insulin), stomach acid reducers (cimetidine), bronchodilators (theophylline), anticoagulants (warfarin), medicines or dietary supplements containing iron or zinc, antacids (aluminium hydroxide), corticosteroids (prednisone), and anti-inflammatory medications (ibuprofen) with Ofloxacin + Ornidazole. These medications may alter the safety and effectiveness of Ofloxacin + Ornidazole.

Overdose And Missed Dose

• Taking more than the prescribed dose may cause nausea, vomiting, dizziness, headache, or seizures. If you accidentally take an overdose and notice any worsening of symptoms, contact your doctor or visit the nearest hospital without delay. Strict adherence to the prescribed dose is essential.
• If you miss a dose of Ofloxacin + Ornidazole, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take two doses at the same time. Completing the full prescribed course is important to prevent the infection from returning or becoming resistant to antibiotics.

Management Of Side Effects

• Take this combination with food to reduce gastrointestinal side effects and continue taking it as prescribed. If side effects worsen or persist, consult your doctor for a possible treatment plan adjustment.

Use In Driving And Operating Machinery

• This medicine can cause dizziness. It is not recommended to drive, operate machinery, or do other activities that require mental alertness or coordination after taking this medicine. 

Use In Pregnancy And Lactation

• This combination is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Caution In Other Conditions

• Caution is advised in older adults and patients with heart conditions, severe coagulation disorders and kidney and liver impairment.

Special Dietary And Lifestyle Recommendation

• Take clear fluids like water, oral rehydration solutions, and diluted fruit juices. You can make an oral rehydration solution by mixing salt, sugar, and water to replenish electrolytes.
• Dairy products and fatty foods can worsen diarrhoea. Avoid giving these until the symptoms improve.
• Take foods with natural probiotics, like yoghurt, to help restore the balance of beneficial gut bacteria.
• Give the smaller, more frequent meals to avoid stomach discomfort.
• Emphasise the importance of keeping any cuts or wounds clean and properly covered to prevent skin infection from aggravating.
