Odpep D Capsule 10

Odpep D Capsule 10 may interact with the following medicines, including:

• CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g., clarithromycin, erythromycin, diltiazem, verapamil): These medicines increase domperidone levels in the body and may raise the risk of serious heart rhythm problems. This combination is contraindicated and should not be taken together unless specifically directed by a doctor.
• Medicines that prolong QT interval (e.g., certain antiarrhythmics, some antipsychotics, some antibiotics): Domperidone may increase the risk of serious heart rhythm problems when taken with these medicines.
• Medicines requiring an acidic stomach for absorption (e.g., ketoconazole, iron salts, itraconazole): Pantoprazole reduces stomach acid, which may decrease the absorption and effectiveness of these medicines.

Odpep D Capsule 10 can interact with conditions/diseases, including:

• Liver Disease: Since domperidone and pantoprazole are heavily processed in the liver, patients with severe liver dysfunction may need adjusted dosing.
• Hypomagnesemia:  Prolonged use of pantoprazole can cause low magnesium levels, so regular serum magnesium monitoring is advised for these patients.
• Heart conditions (QT prolongation, arrhythmias, electrolyte imbalance): Domperidone may increase the risk of serious heart rhythm problems in susceptible individuals. The risk is higher in patients aged over 60 years and with higher doses, so careful use and medical supervision are advised.

The daily dose of Odpep D Capsule 10 should be taken as your doctor prescribes. The dosage may change based on individual factors such as age, severity of the condition, and response to treatment. 

In case of an accidental overdose of Odpep D Capsule 10, contact your doctor or visit the nearest hospital immediately, especially if you experience symptoms such as headache, dizziness, or stomach upset.

If you miss a dose of Odpep D Capsule 10, take it as soon as you remember. However, avoid repeating the dose.
