Novaclav 625 Tablet is used to treat bacterial infections caused by susceptible bacteria, including certain bacteria that produce beta-lactamase enzymes.

Uses of Novaclav 625 Tablet are:

• Respiratory Tract Infections: Treats bacterial infections of the throat, sinuses, and lower respiratory tract, including tonsillitis, sinusitis, and pneumonia.
• Ear and Urinary Infections: Treats bacterial middle ear infections and infections of the bladder and urinary tract.
• Skin, Bone and Joint Infections: Treats cellulitis, infected wounds, and susceptible bacterial infections of the bones and joints.

Novaclav 625 Tablet 10 contains two active ingredients:

• Amoxicillin (500 mg): As a semisynthetic penicillin antibiotic, amoxicillin works by inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial cell walls. This action disrupts the reproduction process of bacteria, thereby reducing their numbers in your body.
• Clavulanic Acid (125 mg): This component acts as a beta-lactamase inhibitor with little antimicrobial activity of its own. However, it enhances the antibacterial effectiveness of amoxicillin by protecting it from degradation by beta-lactamases – enzymes secreted by certain resistant bacteria that would otherwise render amoxicillin ineffective.
