Nizer Gel is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medicine (NSAID) primarily used to manage localised pain and inflammation. It is applied topically to manage musculoskeletal pain associated with sprains, sports injuries and chronic joint conditions.
This medicine works by reducing the local production of prostaglandins, substances that cause pain and inflammation, which eases pain, swelling and stiffness at the site of application without the systemic effects of an oral NSAID.
Apply a thin layer of gel to the affected area, gently massaging it in, two to four times daily as your doctor or the product label advises, and wash your hands after use unless the hands are being treated.
Avoid applying to broken or irritated skin, and avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes. Tell your doctor if the area becomes more painful or irritated, or if there is no improvement after the advised period of use.
