CompositionNezact Ox Nasal Spray 7gm is a nasal spray used to provide short-term relief from nasal congestion associated with allergic rhinitis. It is a combination medicine containing fluticasone furoate (a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation) and oxymetazoline (a nasal decongestant), and belongs to a class of medicines called nasal corticosteroid and decongestant combinations.
This medicine works by calming inflammation in the lining of the nose and by narrowing swollen blood vessels, which helps relieve nasal congestion, sneezing, runny nose and nasal irritation caused by allergies. Use it exactly as your doctor prescribes and for the duration they advise.
Avoid known triggers such as dust, pollen and smoke where possible, as this can help reduce allergy symptoms alongside the spray. Do not use it for longer than your doctor advises, as the decongestant can cause the blockage to return.
Before using this medicine, tell your doctor if you have had recent nasal surgery or nasal infections, or if you have glaucoma, high blood pressure or frequent nosebleeds. It should not be used for more than 3 to 5 consecutive days, as prolonged use can cause rebound nasal congestion (rhinitis medicamentosa).
