• Antihypertensive medicines (e.g., amlodipine, atenolol): Oxymetazoline is a sympathomimetic vasoconstrictor that can narrow blood vessels in the nasal mucosa. In some individuals, especially with frequent use, it may rarely increase blood pressure, especially with excessive or prolonged use, and could potentially reduce the effectiveness of antihypertensive medicines. Patients taking medicines for hypertension should use this nasal spray under medical guidance.
• Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (e.g., phenelzine, tranylcypromine): Concurrent use with MAO inhibitors may enhance the systemic sympathomimetic effects of oxymetazoline. This interaction may increase the risk of elevated blood pressure, palpitations, or nervous system stimulation.
• Other nasal decongestants or sympathomimetic medicines (e.g., pseudoephedrine, xylometazoline): Using multiple decongestants together may increase the risk of excessive vasoconstriction, nasal irritation, or cardiovascular effects such as increased blood pressure and heart rate.
• Strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g., ketoconazole, ritonavir): These medicines may inhibit the metabolism of corticosteroids like fluticasone, potentially increasing systemic exposure. Although absorption from nasal sprays is usually low, prolonged combined use may increase the risk of corticosteroid-related effects.

• Hypertension: Oxymetazoline is a sympathomimetic decongestant that constricts blood vessels to relieve nasal congestion. In some individuals, especially with frequent or prolonged use, it may increase blood pressure. Patients with uncontrolled hypertension should use this medicine only under medical supervision.
• Glaucoma: Oxymetazoline may increase intraocular pressure in susceptible individuals. Patients with narrow-angle glaucoma should consult a doctor before using this nasal spray.
• Hyperthyroidism: Patients with hyperthyroidism may be more sensitive to sympathomimetic medicines such as oxymetazoline, which may increase symptoms like palpitations or nervousness.
• Chronic nasal infections or recent nasal surgery: Corticosteroids such as fluticasone may delay healing of the nasal tissues. Patients with untreated nasal infections, nasal ulcers, or recent nasal surgery should use this medicine only after medical evaluation.

Use Nezact Ox Nasal Spray 7gm exactly as prescribed by your doctor. The recommended dose depends on the severity of allergy symptoms and your response to treatment. Use it at the same time each day as prescribed. Do not use this medicine for more than 3–5 consecutive days unless advised by your doctor.

Using more sprays than prescribed is unlikely to cause serious systemic effects, but may increase nasal irritation, dryness, or headache. If excessive use occurs, consult your doctor for medical advice.

If you miss a dose, use the spray as soon as you remember. If it is close to the next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. Do not use extra sprays to make up for the missed dose.
