Nefrogard Tablet is used to treat chronic kidney disease (CKD) and diabetic nephropathy. It contains alpha‑ketoanalogues of essential amino acids, which reduce blood urea, support nitrogen balance, and delay CKD progression when used alongside a low‑protein diet. Here's how you should take Nefrogard Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with water. Avoid breaking or chewing it.

• If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember. But if it's nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed one. Don't double up on doses to compensate.

• Calcium 2 oxo 3 phenylpropionate (68 mg) + Calcium 3 methyl 2 oxo butirate (86 mg) + Calcium 3 methyl 2 oxo valerate (67 mg) + Calcium 4 methyl 2 oxo valirate (101 mg) + Calcium DL2 hydroxy 4 butyrate (59 mg): These calcium salts help in controlling the levels of urea by reusing amino acids.

• L-Histidine (38 mg) + L-Lysine (105 mg) + L-Threonine (53 mg) + L-Tryptophan (23 mg) + L-Tyrosine (30 mg): These are essential amino acids that help in protein synthesis and maintaining nitrogen balance in the body.
