Alfakit Tablet is used for the following:

• Treatment of chronic kidney disease

• Slowing down kidney disease progression

• Improving kidney function in CKD patients

• Lowering blood urea levels

• Enhancing protein metabolism

• Supporting nutritional needs in kidney disease

• Delaying need for dialysis

• Managing protein metabolism in CKD

Follow these instructions while taking Alfakit Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Take this medicine as advised by your doctor.

• This medicine can be taken with or without food.

• Follow a low-protein diet while taking this medicine for best results.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• Consult your doctor if you have any questions about using this medicine.

Alfakit Tablet is taken orally.

Alfakit Tablet contains the following active ingredients:

• Alpha ketoanalogue compounds: These compounds act as essential amino acids that improve protein metabolism in your body, helping to prevent unnecessary accumulation of urea (a waste product normally filtered by healthy kidneys).

• Calcium components: The various calcium-based ingredients (68-101 mg) help reduce urea buildup in your bloodstream, which is particularly beneficial when your kidneys aren't functioning properly.

• L-Histidine (38 mg): This essential amino acid supports protein metabolism and helps maintain proper nitrogen balance in your body.

• L-Lysine (105 mg): Works to optimise protein utilisation, reducing the burden on your kidneys by limiting waste product formation.

• Essential amino acids: The remaining components (L-Threonine, L-Tryptophan, and L-Tyrosine) support overall protein metabolism while producing fewer nitrogenous wastes that would require kidney filtration.

• Store Alfakit Tablet at room temperature (below 25°C).
