Nazomac AF Nasal Spray is used to relieve symptoms of moderate to severe allergic rhinitis, such as sneezing, a runny, blocked or itchy nose, and itchy, watery eyes. It is a combination medicine containing azelastine, an antihistamine, and fluticasone propionate, a corticosteroid (steroid).
This medicine is used for seasonal allergies such as hay fever and year-round allergies to dust mites or pet dander, often when a single nasal spray has not worked well enough. Shake the bottle gently and prime the pump before first use. Blow your nose, then spray into each nostril with your head tilted slightly forward, as directed by your doctor, and use it regularly.
Avoiding known triggers, keeping windows closed on high-pollen days, and rinsing your nose with saline if your doctor advises can help control symptoms.
This spray is for use in the nose only. Before using it, tell your doctor if you have had recent nose surgery or injury, nose ulcers or an infection, glaucoma or cataracts, and about other medicines you use, especially other steroid medicines or HIV medicines. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Contact your doctor if you have frequent nosebleeds, changes in vision, or worsening symptoms. Do not stop using this medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
