Mucotab Ab Tablet 10

Mucotab AB Tablet is used for the following:

• Management of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)

• Treatment of persistent asthma symptoms

• Clearing excessive mucus in bronchitis

• Improving breathing in respiratory tract infections

• Supporting lung function in cystic fibrosis

• Reducing mucus plugging in airways

• Enhancing mucociliary clearance in respiratory conditions

• Alleviating breathing difficulties due to airway obstruction

Follow these instructions while taking Mucotab AB Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

• You may take this medicine with or after meals.

• Do not crush, break or chew the tablet.

• Complete the full course of treatment even if you feel better.

Mucotab AB Tablet is taken orally.

Mucotab AB Tablet contains two active ingredients that work together to clear airways and improve breathing:

• Acetylcysteine (600 mg): This is a mucolytic agent that breaks down thick, sticky mucus in your airways. It works by disrupting the chemical bonds that make mucus thick and viscous. By making the mucus thinner and less sticky, it becomes easier to cough up and clear from your lungs.

• Acebrophylline (100 mg): This component acts as a bronchodilator, which means it relaxes the muscles in your airways. This relaxation makes the airways wider, allowing air to flow more easily through them and making breathing less difficult.

• Store Mucotab AB Tablet at room temperature (below 30°C).

• Keep away from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Store in the original packaging until ready to use.

• Keep this medicine out of sight and reach of children.

• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the package.

• Stay hydrated: Drinking plenty of water (at least 8-10 glasses daily) helps thin mucus secretions in your airways, making it easier to clear phlegm when you have respiratory conditions like asthma or COPD.

• Avoid respiratory irritants: Steer clear of smoke, strong perfumes, and air pollution as these can worsen mucus production and breathing difficulties in respiratory conditions.
