Composition

Levocetirizine (5 Mg) + Montelukast (10 Mg)

Montair-LC Tablet is used to manage allergic conditions such as allergic rhinitis and hay fever, and to help control allergy-related asthma. It relieves sneezing, a runny or blocked nose, itchy, watery eyes and nasal congestion.

It contains montelukast, which blocks leukotrienes involved in allergic inflammation, and levocetirizine, an antihistamine that blocks histamine-driven allergic reactions.

Take the tablet as prescribed by your doctor, ideally at the same time each day.

Tell your doctor about any other medicines before starting, and report any unusual mood or sleep changes. Montelukast can cause serious mood or behaviour changes; for allergic rhinitis it is generally reserved for people who do not respond to or cannot tolerate alternative treatments.

Montair-LC Tablet is used to manage allergies and help control asthma.

Uses of Montair-LC Tablet are:

Allergic Rhinitis: Relieves sneezing, a runny or blocked nose and itchy eyes.
Asthma Support: Reduces airway inflammation to help control asthma symptoms.
Environmental Allergies: Eases allergies triggered by dust, pollen and pet dander.

Take the Montair LC tablet before or after a meal, as directed by your doctor.
Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
Do not crush or chew the tablet, as this may affect the way the medication is absorbed in the body.
Take Montair LC tablet dosage at fixed timings each day to maintain a consistent level of medication in the body.
Follow your doctor's instructions for taking Montair LC, including the dosage, frequency, and duration of treatment.
Do not stop taking Montair LC without consulting your doctor, even if you start feeling better; stopping the medication earlier may cause your symptoms to return or worsen.

Montair LC Tablet can be taken orally. The medication is taken by mouth with water or as directed by your doctor.

Montair-LC Tablet may cause some side effects that are usually mild and go away as your body adjusts to the medicine.

A few common side effects of Montair-LC Tablet:

Nervous System: Drowsiness, dizziness and headache.
Digestive: Feeling sick (nausea), vomiting and loose motions (diarrhoea).
Other: Dryness of the mouth, a sore throat and a skin rash in some people.

Management Of Side Effects:

Most side effects are temporary and generally harmless, which resolve on discontinuing Montair Lc Tablet. However, if you experience any serious side effects or worsening of any of the symptoms, please consult your doctor.

Montair Lc Tablet 15 composition contains Levocetirizine (5 Mg) + Montelukast (10 Mg) as its active ingredients.

Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist. It is a chemical messenger which plays a key role in allergies and the reduction of acute and chronic inflammation. The resultant action is reduced inflammation of airways and improved nose allergy symptoms.
Levocetirizine is anti-allergic, which blocks a chemical messenger, histamine. Histamine causes watery eyes, sneezing, and runny nose.

Pregnancy

Is it safe to use Montair LC Tablet during pregnancy?

Montair LC Tablet should be used with caution in pregnant women. There is limited information available on the safety of Montair LC in pregnancy. Therefore, pregnant women should use Montair LC under the supervision of a healthcare provider. Your healthcare provider may also recommend alternative medications or safer treatment options during pregnancy.

Breastfeeding

Is it safe to consume Montair LC Tablet during breastfeeding?

While Levocetirizine in Montair LC Tablet is safe during pregnancy, very low levels of montelukast from Montair LC appear in breast milk and are safe for babies. However, if you are a breastfeeding mother, consult your doctor before taking the Montair LC tablet.

Alcohol

Is it safe to drink alcohol while taking Montair LC Tablet?

No sufficient data and studies indicate that Montair LC Tablet interferes with mental alertness, reactivity or ability to drive.

Some patients have experienced somnolence (tiredness) fatigue under the influence of the Montair LC Tablet. Therefore, the drug should be taken strictly under the doctor's advice when handling machines and driving.
