Montair 4mg Chewable Tablet 15

Montair Chewable Tablet is used for managing the following conditions in children aged between 2 to 14 years:

• Long-term control of asthma symptoms

• Preventive measure against asthma attacks

• Symptom relief from seasonal allergic rhinitis, also known as hay fever

• Management of perennial allergic rhinitis, an allergy that occurs year-round.

Administer Montair Chewable Tablet to your child as follows:

• Ensure your child thoroughly chews the tablet before swallowing.

• It can be given with or without food, depending on your child's preference.

• In case your child finds it difficult to chew the tablet, you may crush it and mix with soft food such as applesauce or ice cream.

• Always administer this medicine at the same time each day for best results.

• Consult your doctor for specific advice on administering Montair Chewable Tablet.

Montair Chewable Tablet is given orally.

Montair Chewable Tablet contains Montelukast (4 mg), which influences the body through the following mechanisms:

• Leukotriene Blockage: Montelukast works by blocking the action of leukotrienes, natural substances in the body that cause inflammation and constriction of airways.

• Reduction of Inflammation and Airway Constriction: By inhibiting leukotrienes, Montelukast decreases inflammation and constriction in the airways. This action helps prevent asthma symptoms such as wheezing, coughing, chest tightness and shortness of breath.

• Alleviation of Allergic Rhinitis Symptoms: This medicine also manages symptoms of allergic rhinitis including sneezing, stuffy or runny nose, and itching of the nose and eyes.

• Store the Montair Chewable Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 25°C.

• Keep it away from moisture and light to preserve its effectiveness.

• Always keep the medicine out of reach of children for safety purposes.

• If your child is taking Montair Chewable Tablets for asthma or allergies, try to keep the house dust-free. Dust mites can trigger asthma attacks or worsen allergy symptoms.

• Include omega-3 rich foods in your child's diet, such as fish and walnuts. Omega-3 fatty acids are known to help reduce inflammation and may assist in managing asthma and allergic rhinitis symptoms.
