Montair-10 Tablet is used in adults and adolescents to prevent asthma symptoms and to manage allergic rhinitis, which causes a runny, blocked, or itchy nose due to allergies. It is a preventive medicine and is not for use during an acute asthma attack.
It contains montelukast, which belongs to a group of medicines called leukotriene receptor antagonists. It can be taken with or without food, usually in the evening as prescribed. Take it regularly for the full course, even when symptoms improve.
Identifying and avoiding your allergy triggers, such as pollen, dust mites, or pet dander, and keeping to a smoke-free environment helps this medicine work alongside day-to-day symptom management.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any history of mood changes, depression, sleep problems, or liver disease, and about all other medicines you take. Tell your doctor promptly about any significant changes in mood, behaviour, or sleep. Speak to your doctor before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
