Bronkolast Tablet 10 is used to manage asthma and seasonal allergies such as sneezing, runny nose, and breathing difficulties. It helps prevent asthma attacks, controls wheezing, and reduces symptoms triggered by allergens like dust or pollen. This medicine works by blocking chemicals that cause airway swelling, making breathing easier and improving overall respiratory health.

• Swallow the tablet whole with water.
• Do not crush or chew the tablet.
• The medicine should be taken regularly, even during menstrual periods without symptoms, to get the most benefit.
• If you need to exercise, take one dose at least two hours before you start.
• Never alter your dose or stop taking this medicine without first consulting your doctor.

Bronkolast Tablet 10 contains montelukast (10 mg), which works on your body in the following ways:

• CysLT1 Receptor Inhibition: Montelukast selectively inhibits CysLT1 receptors, which are involved in producing substances that cause airway muscles to tighten and mucus and fluid to be produced in the lungs.
• Anti-inflammatory Effect: By blocking these CysLT1 receptors, montelukast reduces inflammation in the airways, thereby helping prevent asthma symptoms and allergic rhinitis.

It's important to note that montelukast is not a bronchodilator and does not provide immediate relief from acute asthma attacks.
