Montemac 10 Tablet is used to manage asthma and allergic rhinitis in adults, helping prevent attacks, control wheezing and reduce allergy symptoms.

Uses of Montemac 10 Tablet are:

• Asthma: Helps prevent asthma attacks and control wheezing.
• Allergic Rhinitis: Eases sneezing, runny nose and itching from seasonal and year-round allergies.
• Exercise-Induced Breathing Difficulty: Helps prevent breathing difficulty triggered by exercise.

• Swallow the tablet whole with water.
• Do not crush or chew the tablet.
• The medicine should be taken regularly, even during menstrual periods without symptoms, to get the most benefit.
• If you need to exercise, take one dose at least two hours before you start.
• Never alter your dose or stop taking this medicine without first consulting your doctor.

Montemac 10 Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Montemac 10 Tablet 10 contains montelukast (10 mg), which works on your body in the following ways:

• CysLT1 Receptor Inhibition: Montelukast selectively inhibits CysLT1 receptors, which are involved in producing substances that cause airway muscles to tighten and mucus and fluid to be produced in the lungs.
• Anti-inflammatory Effect: By blocking these CysLT1 receptors, montelukast reduces inflammation in the airways, thereby helping prevent asthma symptoms and allergic rhinitis.

It's important to note that montelukast is not a bronchodilator and does not provide immediate relief from acute asthma attacks.
