Metoprolol Succinate (25 Mg)

Metzok-25 Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure, to prevent chest pain (angina), to control irregular heart rhythms and to treat chronic heart failure. It is a single-ingredient medicine containing metoprolol succinate in a prolonged-release form, and belongs to a class of medicines called beta-blockers.

This medicine also helps stabilise heart function after a heart attack, by steadying the heart rate and easing the heart's workload. Use the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor.

Reducing salt in your diet, staying physically active within your limits and limiting alcohol support heart health alongside this medicine.

Tell your doctor if you have asthma or a very slow heart rate before starting this medicine, and about any other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Speak to your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding. Report any side effects that persist or become serious. Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly or unless your doctor advises you to do so, as this can worsen angina or trigger heart problems, and any dose change should be made gradually under medical supervision.

Metzok-25 Tablet is used in adults to manage a range of cardiovascular conditions by reducing heart rate and easing the heart's workload.

Uses of Metzok-25 Tablet are:

High Blood Pressure: Helps lower and control high blood pressure.
Angina: Helps prevent chest pain caused by angina.
Irregular Heart Rhythms: Helps control certain irregular heart rhythms.
Heart Failure and Post-Heart-Attack Care: Supports heart function in chronic heart failure and helps stabilise the heart after a heart attack.

Here's how you should take Metzok-25 Tablet:

Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
Do not chew, crush or break the tablet.
Remember not to stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor.

Metzok-25 Tablet is taken orally.
