Metzok-25 Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure, to prevent chest pain (angina), to control irregular heart rhythms, to treat chronic heart failure, and to help stabilise heart function after a heart attack.
It contains metoprolol, a selective beta-1 blocker. Take it with food as prescribed at the same time each day. Do not stop it suddenly, as beta-blockers must be reduced gradually under medical guidance.
Lifestyle measures that support cardiovascular health include a low-salt diet, staying active within your limits, limiting alcohol, and quitting smoking. Monitor your weight regularly if you have heart failure and report sudden increases to your doctor.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any asthma or breathing problems, a slow heart rate, severe liver disease, or diabetes. It can mask the signs of low blood sugar in diabetes. Speak to your doctor before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
