Uses of Met XL 3D 25/6.25 Tablet are:

• Blood Pressure Control: Helps lower and manage high blood pressure, including resistant hypertension.
• Cardiovascular Protection: Helps reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke.
• Combination Therapy: Used when blood pressure is not adequately controlled by a single medicine.

Follow these instructions while taking Met Xl 3d 25/6.25 Tablet 15:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

• Do not crush, break or chew the tablet, as it is an extended-release formulation.

• You may take this medicine with or without food.

• Take it at the same time each day to maintain consistent blood levels.

Met Xl 3d 25/6.25 Tablet 15 is taken orally.

Met Xl 3d 25/6.25 Tablet 15 contains three active ingredients that work together to lower blood pressure:

• Telmisartan (40 mg): This angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) prevents a hormone called angiotensin II from binding to its receptors in blood vessels, preventing blood vessel narrowing and allowing them to relax and widen, which lowers blood pressure.

• Chlorthalidone (6.25 mg): This thiazide-like diuretic works on your kidneys to increase the amount of water and salt removed from your body through urine, which reduces blood volume and lowers blood pressure.

• Metoprolol Succinate (25 mg): As a cardioselective beta-blocker, it blocks certain receptors (beta-1 adrenergic receptors) in your heart, reducing your heart rate and the force of heart contractions, which helps lower blood pressure.

• Store at room temperature (not exceeding 30°C) in a dry place.

• Keep the medicine protected from light and moisture.

• Store in the original packaging until ready to use.

• Always keep out of reach of children.

• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the package.

• Limiting sodium in your diet helps manage high blood pressure (hypertension). Aim to consume less than 5 g of salt daily by avoiding processed foods and not adding extra salt to meals.

• Engage in moderate exercise like brisk walking for at least 30 minutes on most days of the week to help lower blood pressure naturally and improve the effectiveness of your medicine.
