Melacare Forte Cream 25Gm

Melacare Forte Cream is used for:

• Managing moderate to severe melasma: This skin condition results in dark, discoloured patches, mainly on the face.

• Lightening of the skin: The cream helps reduce pigmentation and lighten dark spots.

• Controlling inflammation: Its use helps manage skin inflammation that can result in redness and irritation.

• Increasing skin cell turnover: It aids in renewing the skin's surface layer, improving its texture and appearance.

Here's how you should use Melacare Forte Cream:

• Ensure your skin's affected areas are clean and dry before you apply the cream.

• Apply a thin layer of the cream only on the affected areas.

• Use it once daily at bedtime or as directed by your doctor.

• Do not wash off for at least 6 hours after application.

• Remember to apply sunscreen with an SPF of 15 or higher in the daytime and reapply every 2 hours.

• Avoid contact with your eyes, mouth, and mucous membranes while applying this cream.

Melacare Forte Cream is applied topically.

Melacare Forte Cream is composed of three active ingredients:

• Hydroquinone (4 %): This skin-lightening agent inhibits melanin production. Melanin gives colour to your skin, and hydroquinone effectively reduces the appearance of dark patches on the skin by disrupting its synthesis and increasing its degradation.

• Mometasone (0.1 %): As a medium-potency corticosteroid, mometasone binds to receptors within skin cells and reduces the production of substances that cause inflammation. This action lessens redness and irritation in the treated areas.

• Tretinoin (0.025 %): A retinoid similar to vitamin A, tretinoin boosts skin cell turnover, helping disperse pigmentation and enhancing hydroquinone's penetration into the skin layers. Tretinoin also promotes collagen production in photo-aged skin, improving texture and resilience.

Here are the storage instructions for this cream:

• Store Melacare Forte Cream below 25°C, and do not freeze the cream.

• Protect the cream from direct sunlight and heat.

• Keep the tube tightly closed when not in use to prevent exposure to air.

• Keep the cream out of reach of children.
