CompositionMahacort DZ 6 Tablet is a corticosteroid used to manage a wide range of inflammatory and autoimmune conditions, including certain types of arthritis, asthma, severe allergies, inflammatory bowel disease, and skin and eye disorders, and to help prevent rejection after an organ transplant.
It contains deflazacort. It works by reducing inflammation and calming an overactive immune system, which eases pain, swelling and allergic reactions.
Take it with food or milk at the same time each day, and do not stop it suddenly, as the dose usually needs to be reduced gradually. Avoid contact with people who have chickenpox or measles if you have not had them.
Tell your doctor about any infection, diabetes, high blood pressure or stomach ulcers before use. Longer use can affect blood sugar, bone strength and blood pressure, so regular check-ups are important. Report signs of infection or mood changes.
