CompositionMahacef Xl 200 New Tablet 10 is used to treat a range of bacterial infections affecting the respiratory tract, skin, soft tissues and urinary system, including cystitis and kidney infections. It helps your body fight the bacteria responsible for the infection and allows symptoms to settle.
It contains cefixime and dicloxacillin, two antibiotics that work together to stop bacteria building their protective cell wall. Take the tablet as prescribed, with or without food, and complete the full course even if you feel better early, as stopping too soon can let the infection return.
Drinking plenty of water and getting adequate rest can support your recovery while taking this medicine. Avoid skipping doses, as irregular use reduces how well it works against the infection.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have any known allergies to antibiotics, or any kidney or liver problems, or are taking other medicines. Contact your doctor if you develop severe diarrhoea, a skin rash, or signs of an allergic reaction such as swelling or difficulty breathing.
