Si-fixim Xl 200/500 MG Tablet Xl 10 is used to manage respiratory infections, skin and soft tissue infections, urinary tract infections, and gonorrhea.

When taking Si-fixim Xl 200/500 MG Tablet Xl 10, keep to the following instructions:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush or chew the tablet.
• This medicine can be taken with or without food.
• Always follow your doctor's advice regarding how long to take this medicine.
• It is crucial not to discontinue the medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Si-fixim Xl 200/500 MG Tablet Xl 10 is taken orally.

Si-fixim Xl 200/500 MG Tablet Xl 10 contains two active antibiotics which work together:

• Cefixime (200 mg): This third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic works by binding to proteins within the bacterial cell wall, rendering them inactive. By doing so, it weakens the cell wall leading to the bacteria eventually bursting and dying.
• Dicloxacillin (500 mg): It is a penicillin-type antibiotic. It works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, effectively targeting and killing susceptible bacteria. This action helps treat bacterial infections caused by gram-positive organisms. Dicloxacillin is particularly effective against penicillinase-producing staphylococci.

• Store your Si-fixim Xl 200/500 MG Tablet Xl 10 in a cool, dry place, ideally at room temperature, which is around 30°C.
• Keep the medicine away from direct sunlight and moisture to ensure its effectiveness.
• Always keep this medicine out of the reach of children for their safety.
• Make sure to use your medicine before its expiry date to benefit from its full potency.

• If you are taking Si-fixim Xl 200/500 MG Tablet Xl 10 for respiratory infections, avoid smoking and exposure to secondhand smoke. Smoke can irritate your lungs and make symptoms worse.
• Increase your fluid intake for urinary tract infections. Drinking lots of water can help flush bacteria out of your system, helping to manage the infection.
