CompositionLquin 500 Tablet is an antibiotic medicine used to treat various bacterial infections in adults. It is prescribed for bacterial infections affecting the lungs, sinuses, urinary tract, prostate, skin, and soft tissues.
It contains levofloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that works by eliminating infection-causing bacteria. Take the tablet with water as prescribed by your doctor, with or without food. Complete the full course of treatment even if your symptoms improve early to prevent the infection from returning or developing resistance.
Drinking adequate fluids throughout the day is recommended while taking this medicine to support kidney function and help flush out bacterial toxins. Avoid unnecessary sun exposure and use protective clothing, as quinolone antibiotics can increase skin sensitivity to sunlight.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have a history of tendon disorders, kidney problems, nerve conditions, heart rhythm abnormalities, or epilepsy. Speak to your doctor immediately if you experience joint pain, swelling, severe diarrhoea, or unexplained mood changes during treatment.
