CompositionLosar-25 Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure and heart failure, and to help protect kidney function in people with diabetes. It is a single-ingredient angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) containing losartan.
Good blood pressure control lowers the risk of heart attack, stroke and kidney damage. Take it in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor, and continue it even when you feel well.
Reducing salt in your diet (including pickles, papad and packaged snacks), staying physically active, maintaining a healthy weight, avoiding smoking and limiting alcohol can support blood pressure control alongside this medicine.
Do not use this medicine during pregnancy. Before starting, tell your doctor about any kidney problems or raised potassium levels, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Dizziness is more likely at the start of treatment, so get up slowly. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
