Liofen 10 Tablet is a medicine used to reduce muscle stiffness, painful spasms, and tightness caused by neurological conditions such as spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, and other nerve-related disorders. It helps improve movement and relieve discomfort associated with muscle rigidity.
It contains baclofen, a centrally acting muscle relaxant. Take it regularly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop this medicine suddenly, as abrupt withdrawal can worsen spasticity and may cause serious effects including hallucinations and seizures. Your doctor will advise you on how to reduce the dose gradually if stopping is needed.
During treatment, physiotherapy and gentle exercise may support improvement in movement and muscle function. Avoid alcohol while taking this medicine, as it may increase drowsiness. This medicine may affect your ability to drive or operate machinery, particularly when starting treatment.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any kidney problems, a history of seizures or stroke, or are taking other medicines that cause drowsiness. Inform your doctor promptly if you develop confusion, unusual muscle weakness, or worsening spasms during treatment. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should seek medical advice before use.
