Linaxa D 5/10 Tablet is used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, particularly when blood sugar is not adequately controlled by diet and exercise alone. It is a combination medicine containing dapagliflozin and linagliptin, and belongs to the classes of SGLT2 inhibitors and DPP-4 inhibitors.
Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water, with or without food. Continue taking it regularly even if you feel well, as this medicine controls but does not cure diabetes. Use the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor.
Following a controlled-carbohydrate diet, staying well hydrated and maintaining good genital hygiene can help reduce the risk of urinary and genital infections linked to this type of medicine. Regular blood sugar monitoring and physical activity also support treatment.
Tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems or a history of urinary tract infections before starting this medicine, and about any other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Speak to your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding. Report symptoms of a urinary or genital infection, such as burning on urination or genital itching, promptly to your doctor, and report any side effects that persist or become serious. Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
