Levotas OZ Tablet 10 is used to manage the following conditions.

Uses of Levotas OZ Tablet 10 are:

• Acute Bacterial Diarrhoea: Treats susceptible bacterial infections causing diarrhoea.
• Amoebic Dysentery and Intestinal Amoebiasis: Treats these protozoal infections.
• Other Gastrointestinal Infections: Manages infections where the causative organisms respond to levofloxacin and ornidazole.

To get the best results from your Levotas Oz Tablet 10, please do the following:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Don't crush or chew the tablet.

• Follow your doctor's instructions on how often to take this medicine.

• Even if you feel better, don't stop taking this medicine until you've completed the entire course your doctor prescribed.

Levotas Oz Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Levotas Oz Tablet 10 contains two active ingredients that work together:

• Levofloxacin (250 mg): This fluoroquinolone antibiotic inhibits enzymes in bacteria called DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV. These enzymes are critical for bacterial DNA replication and repair; blocking them disrupts these processes, leading to bacterial cell death. Levofloxacin is particularly effective against gram-negative bacteria and atypical respiratory pathogens.

• Ornidazole (500 mg): This nitroimidazole antibacterial and antiprotozoal agent damages bacterial and parasitic DNA after being converted into reactive reduction products, thus blocking nucleic acid synthesis. Ornidazole shows high effectiveness against anaerobic bacteria and protozoa like Entamoeba histolytica and Giardia lamblia.

• Store Levotas Oz Tablet 10 at room temperature.

• Keep the tablet away from excessive light and moisture.

• Always store the medicine in its original, tightly closed container.

• Ensure it is out of reach of children.
