Levomac OZ Tablet is used to treat gastrointestinal infections caused by susceptible bacteria and parasites, including bacterial diarrhoea, amoebic dysentery, and intestinal amoebiasis. It is a combination antibiotic medicine containing a fluoroquinolone and a nitroimidazole.
Take this medicine orally, exactly as your doctor directs, and complete the full course even if you start feeling better. Stopping early may allow the infection to return.
Drinking plenty of fluids and maintaining good hand and food hygiene can help support recovery and reduce the chance of re-infection while taking this medicine.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any liver, kidney, or nervous system problems, or are taking other medicines. Contact your doctor if you notice a skin rash, difficulty sleeping, or unusual anxiety. It is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
