Levipil Syrup is used to control different types of seizures, including partial, myoclonic and generalised tonic-clonic seizures, in adults and children with epilepsy. It is a single-ingredient anti-epileptic medicine containing levetiracetam.
Used regularly, this medicine helps reduce how often seizures occur. Measure each dose with the cup or syringe provided, in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop it suddenly, as this can trigger seizures.
Getting enough sleep, following a regular daily routine and avoiding alcohol support seizure control alongside this medicine.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have kidney problems or a mood condition, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Report marked mood or behaviour changes, low mood or unusual irritability. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
