Levipil Syrup is used to control different types of seizure, including partial, myoclonic and generalised tonic-clonic seizures, in adults and children with epilepsy. Used regularly, it helps reduce how often seizures occur.
It contains levetiracetam, an anti-seizure medicine. It works by steadying the electrical activity in the brain to prevent seizures.
Take it at the dose your doctor sets, and keep taking it for as long as advised even if you feel well. Do not stop it suddenly, as this can trigger seizures.
Tell your doctor about any kidney problems or mood conditions before use. Report marked mood or behaviour changes, low mood or unusual irritability.
