Lefra-20 Tablet is used to manage joint pain, swelling and stiffness in adults with active rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis. It is a single-ingredient disease-modifying antirheumatic drug (DMARD) containing leflunomide.
It helps reduce inflammation and slow long-term joint damage. Swallow the tablet whole with water, without crushing or chewing it, with or without food, in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor. It may take several weeks or months to feel the full benefit, so continue it as advised.
Low-impact joint exercises, a healthy body weight to reduce stress on the joints and a balanced, nutritious diet support mobility alongside this medicine.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have liver disease, severe kidney problems, an active infection or high blood pressure, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. This medicine must not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and both men and women need reliable contraception during treatment and for a period after stopping. Your doctor will arrange regular liver and blood tests. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
