Lacoset 200 Tablet is used to control partial-onset seizures in adults and children aged four years and above with epilepsy. It can be used as a single medicine or alongside other antiepileptic treatments.
It contains lacosamide 200 mg. Take it as prescribed at the same time each day, with or without food. Do not stop it suddenly, as dose changes should always be made gradually under medical guidance, as abrupt withdrawal may increase the risk of seizures.
Consistent sleep, avoiding alcohol, and attending regular neurological check-ups all support seizure management. Take care with driving until seizures are well controlled.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any heart disease or cardiac rhythm problems, as lacosamide can affect the heart's electrical activity (PR interval), or about any kidney or liver problems. Tell your doctor about significant chest palpitations, fainting, or mood changes. Speak to your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
