GLYCOMET TRIO 0.5 TABLET 10 may interact with the following medicines:

• Antidiabetic medicines (e.g., insulin, sitagliptin): When used together, particularly with insulin or insulin secretagogues, the risk of low blood sugar may increase. Your doctor may adjust the dose and monitor blood glucose.
• Corticosteroids (e.g., prednisolone, dexamethasone): These medicines may increase blood sugar levels and reduce the effectiveness of diabetes treatment.
• Diuretics (e.g., furosemide, hydrochlorothiazide): These medicines may affect blood glucose control and kidney function. Your doctor may recommend regular monitoring.
• Beta-blockers (e.g., atenolol, propranolol): These medicines may mask warning signs of low blood sugar, such as a rapid heartbeat.
• Iodinated contrast agents: These agents may temporarily affect kidney function and increase the risk of metformin-related complications. Your doctor may advise stopping the medicine before certain imaging procedures.

• Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency: Sulfonylureas such as glimepiride may increase the risk of haemolytic anaemia in susceptible individuals. Your doctor may recommend an alternative medicine or monitor treatment closely.
• Vitamin B12 Deficiency: Long-term metformin therapy may reduce vitamin B12 absorption and worsen existing deficiency. Your doctor may periodically monitor vitamin B12 levels and recommend supplementation if required.

The daily dose of GLYCOMET TRIO 0.5 TABLET 10 should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor. The dose depends on your blood glucose levels, medical condition, and response to treatment. Do not change the prescribed dose without consulting your doctor.

Taking more than the recommended dose may cause severe hypoglycaemia or lactic acidosis. Symptoms may include sweating, shakiness, confusion, severe weakness, rapid breathing, vomiting, or loss of consciousness. Seek immediate medical attention if an overdose is suspected.

If you miss a dose of GLYCOMET TRIO 0.5 TABLET 10, take it as soon as you remember with food. If it is almost time for your next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.
