• Cationic medicines: Medicines like amiloride, ranitidine, and vancomycin may compete with metformin for renal tubular transport systems during excretion, which can change how effectively your body processes these medications.

• Carbonic anhydrase inhibitors: Medications like topiramate may increase the risk of lactic acidosis when taken along with Glycomet 850 Tablet 10.

• Renal function impairing medicines: Medicines such as cimetidine, which affect kidney function or change the acid-base balance in your body, may heighten the risk of lactic acidosis when taken with Glycomet 850 Tablet 10.

There are no specific food items known to interfere with the effectiveness of Glycomet 850 Tablet 10.

Glycomet 850 Tablet 10 interacts with the following diseases:

• Renal impairment: Patients with severe renal dysfunction (eGFR below 30 mL/min/1.73 m²) should not take Glycomet 850 Tablet 10 as it can exacerbate their condition.

• Metabolic acidosis: People suffering from acute or chronic metabolic acidosis, including diabetic ketoacidosis, should avoid this medication as it could worsen their condition.
