Formoflo 100 Transcaps 30

FORMOFLO 100 TRANSCAPS 30 are used for the following:

• Regular maintenance treatment of persistent asthma

• Prevention of asthma symptoms and attacks

• Management of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

• Control of bronchial hypersensitivity

• Prevention of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease exacerbations

• Maintenance therapy for chronic bronchitis

• Long-term control of emphysema symptoms

• Decreasing airway oedema and hyperreactivity

Follow these instructions while using FORMOFLO 100 TRANSCAPS 30:

• Use only with the supplied inhalation device.

• Do not swallow the capsules, as they are meant for inhalation only.

• Place the transcap in the inhaler device as shown in the package instructions.

• Breathe in deeply through the mouthpiece to inhale the medicine.

• Rinse your mouth with water after each inhalation.

FORMOFLO 100 TRANSCAPS 30 are administered orally via inhalation.

FORMOFLO 100 TRANSCAPS 30 contain two active ingredients:

• Formoterol fumarate (6 mcg): As a long-acting selective beta2-adrenergic receptor agonist, it relaxes the smooth muscles surrounding the airways. This action helps to widen the air passages, making breathing easier and improving airflow to the lungs.

• Fluticasone propionate (100 mcg): This synthetic corticosteroid works by reducing inflammation in the airways. It inhibits various inflammatory cells and mediators, decreasing swelling, mucus production, and hypersensitivity in the bronchial tubes.

• Store at room temperature (not exceeding 25°C).

• Protect from light and moisture.

• Keep the medicine in its original packaging until ready to use.

• Store out of reach of children.

• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the package.

• Avoid smoking and secondhand smoke exposure, as these can worsen asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease symptoms and reduce the effectiveness of your medicine.

• Stay hydrated and maintain good air quality at home by using air purifiers or keeping windows closed during high pollen days to help manage respiratory conditions.
