Forglyn Plus Inhaler is used for the long-term maintenance treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma in adults. It is a combination medicine containing budesonide, a corticosteroid, and formoterol and glycopyrrolate, two long-acting bronchodilators.
This medicine helps reduce airway inflammation and keep the airways open, easing breathlessness, wheezing and chest tightness. Use it every day in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor, even when you feel well. It is not meant for sudden breathing attacks. Rinse your mouth with water after each use.
Using the correct inhaler technique, avoiding triggers such as smoke and dust, and doing breathing exercises or pulmonary rehabilitation as advised help you get the full benefit.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have glaucoma, an enlarged prostate, heart disease or a history of sudden airway tightening after inhalers, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Report worsening breathlessness, a fast or irregular heartbeat or white patches in the mouth. Ask your doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Follow the prescribed treatment plan, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop using the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
