Foracort G Inhaler is used for the following:

• Long-term maintenance treatment of COPD

• Management of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

• Improving lung function in respiratory conditions

• Reduction of airway inflammation

• Relief of bronchial smooth muscle constriction

• Prevention of COPD symptom flare-ups

• Decreasing mucus production in airways

• Reducing bronchial hyperresponsiveness

• Improving breathing in chronic lung conditions

Follow these instructions while using Foracort G Inhaler:

• Shake the inhaler well before each use.

• Remove the mouthpiece cover and check for any loose objects.

• Breathe out fully before placing the mouthpiece between your lips.

• While breathing in slowly and deeply, press down firmly on the canister.

• Hold your breath for about 10 seconds, then breathe out slowly.

• Rinse your mouth with water after use to prevent oral thrush.

• Clean the plastic case and cap regularly with a dry cloth.

Foracort G Inhaler is administered via inhalation.

Foracort G Inhaler contains three active ingredients:

• Budesonide (200 mcg): This is an inhaled corticosteroid that reduces inflammation in the airways. It works by binding to special receptors and blocking the release of substances that cause inflammation, which helps decrease swelling, mucus production, and sensitivity in the airways.

• Formoterol fumarate (6 mcg): As a long-acting beta2-adrenergic agonist (LABA), formoterol relaxes the muscles around the airways. It stimulates specific receptors in the lungs called beta2 receptors, causing the bronchial muscles to relax and widen, which improves airflow for approximately 12 hours.

• Glycopyrrolate (12.5 mcg): This is a long-acting muscarinic antagonist (LAMA) that prevents the tightening of airway muscles. It blocks the action of acetylcholine, a chemical messenger that causes muscles around the airways to contract, thereby helping to keep airways open.

• Store Foracort G Inhaler at temperatures below 30°C.

• Keep the inhaler in a dry place, away from direct heat and sunlight.

• Do not puncture, break or burn the canister, even when empty.

• Keep this medicine out of sight and reach of children.

• Do not use the inhaler after the expiry date printed on the packaging.

• Avoid smoking and secondhand smoke exposure, as these can worsen COPD symptoms and reduce the effectiveness of your medicine.

• Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water throughout the day to help thin mucus in your airways, making it easier to clear your lungs.
