Flomist Nasal Spray is used to treat the symptoms of nasal allergy (allergic rhinitis), including a blocked or runny nose, sneezing, and itching. It contains fluticasone propionate, a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation inside the nasal passages.
This nasal spray belongs to a class of medicines called corticosteroids. Use it in your nose exactly as directed by your doctor, shaking the bottle before use. Continue using it as advised, even during periods when you have fewer symptoms, for the best long-term control of your allergy.
Reducing your exposure to allergy triggers can help alongside this medicine. Try to limit contact with pollen, dust mites, and pet dander, keep windows closed during high pollen periods, and wash bedding regularly to reduce dust mite exposure.
Tell your doctor if you have a nasal infection, are on long-term steroid treatment, or have recently had nasal surgery or injury, before using this spray. Speak to your doctor if you notice recurrent nosebleeds, nasal sores, or vision changes. Children using this medicine long-term may need their growth monitored by their doctor.
