Flokind F Tablet 10

Flokind F Tablet is used in men to manage the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), an enlarged prostate. It helps improve urine flow and reduce symptoms associated with an enlarged prostate over time.

Uses of Flokind F Tablet are:

• Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH): Helps improve urine flow and reduce urinary symptoms caused by an enlarged prostate.

Here's how you should take Flokind F Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• Avoid taking more than the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

• Never stop taking this medicine without speaking to your doctor first.

Flokind F Tablet is taken orally.

Flokind F Tablet contains two active ingredients that work together to manage symptoms of BPH:

• Tamsulosin (0.4 mg): This component acts as an α1-adrenergic receptor antagonist, primarily in the prostate and bladder neck. By blocking these receptors, tamsulosin relaxes the smooth muscles, making it easier to urinate and reducing symptoms such as difficulty starting urination, weak urine stream, and frequent urination.

• Finasteride (5 mg): This ingredient works by inhibiting an enzyme called 5α-reductase in your body. This enzyme is responsible for converting testosterone into a hormone called dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which causes the prostate to grow. By inhibiting this enzyme, finasteride reduces the amount of DHT, leading to a decrease in prostate size over time.

• Store Flokind F Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.

• Protect it from light and moisture.

• Keep the medicine out of reach and sight of children.

• Ensure you use the medicine before its expiry date.

• Regular exercise can help manage symptoms of an enlarged prostate. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate activity most days.

• Limit your intake of fluids in the evening to reduce frequent urination at night. However, remember to stay well hydrated during the day.
