Belonging to the azole‑antifungal class, it works by inhibiting ergosterol synthesis in fungal cell membranes, thus halting fungal growth and eliminating infection efficiently. Recommended for onychomycosis, oral thrush, histoplasmosis, aspergillosis, and dermatophytosis.

• Inhibition of Ergosterol Synthesis: Itraconazole works by blocking the production of ergosterol, a crucial component of fungal cell membranes. Ergosterol helps maintain the structure and function of these membranes.

• Increasing Cell Membrane Permeability: By inhibiting ergosterol synthesis, itraconazole increases the permeability of the fungal cell membrane. This disrupts the cellular environment and results in essential components leaking out.

• Fungal Growth Arrest: The disruption caused by itraconazole leads to growth arrest or death of susceptible fungi, effectively managing the infection by preventing new fungal growth and impairing existing ones.

• Store Fixtral Sb Capsule 7 at room temperature, ideally between 15°C and 30°C.
