Finast 5 mg Tablet is used to manage symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men. It helps reduce prostate enlargement, improving urine flow and easing symptoms such as weak urine stream, difficulty starting urination, frequent urination, and nighttime urination. Regular use supports better bladder control and urinary comfort.

Here's how you take Finast Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• Take this medicine once daily, with or without food.

• Try to take this medicine at the same time each day for optimal results.

• Continue taking this medicine for as long as your doctor has advised, even if your symptoms improve.

Finast Tablet is taken orally.

Finast Tablet contains finasteride (5 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Inhibits 5-alpha reductase: Finasteride works by blocking an enzyme called 5-alpha reductase in your body. This enzyme is responsible for converting testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a hormone that plays a key role in the enlargement of the prostate gland.

• Reduces DHT levels: By blocking the conversion of testosterone into DHT, finasteride effectively reduces DHT levels. This action leads to a decrease in prostate size and improvement in symptoms associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia.

• Store Finast Tablet at room temperature.

• Keep the product in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Always keep this medicine out of the reach of children.

• Make sure to use the medicine before the expiry date mentioned on the pack.

• If you experience frequent urination at night, reducing evening fluid intake can help manage this symptom associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

• Engage in regular physical activity. Gentle exercises such as walking or yoga have been found to improve urinary symptoms in men with BPH.
