Febustat 20 Tablet is used in adults for the long-term management of high uric acid levels (hyperuricaemia) caused by gout, helping to reduce flare-ups and joint damage over time.

• Gout Management: Lowers uric acid levels to help reduce painful gout flare-ups.
• Joint Protection: Helps prevent uric acid crystals building up in the joints, reducing long-term joint damage.
• Chronic Hyperuricaemia: Used for long-term control of high uric acid levels, particularly when other medicines are not suitable.

Here's how you should take Febustat 20 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• This medicine can be taken with or without food according to your convenience.

Febustat 20 Tablet contains Febuxostat (20 mg), which acts as follows:

• Xanthine Oxidase Inhibition: Febuxostat blocks the activity of an enzyme named xanthine oxidase. This particular enzyme plays a crucial role in the formation of uric acid in your body.

• Reduction of Uric Acid Levels: By inhibiting the activity of xanthine oxidase, Febuxostat effectively decreases the levels of uric acid in your blood.
