This tablet contains Famotidine, a histamine H2-receptor antagonist. It works by blocking the histamine receptors in the stomach lining, which are responsible for signaling the production of acid. By reducing stomach acid production, this medicine allows existing ulcers to heal and helps prevent new ones from forming, especially during the night when acid levels often peak.
Take this medication as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily at bedtime or twice daily (morning and night). It can be taken with or without food.
