Etoshine 60 Tablet is used in adults to relieve pain and inflammation linked to various arthritis-related conditions and certain other short-term painful conditions, helping to improve movement and daily comfort.

Uses of Etoshine 60 Tablet are:

• Arthritis-related Pain: Relieves pain, swelling, and stiffness in osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis.
• Acute Gout: Eases pain and inflammation during gout attacks.
• Menstrual Cramps: Provides relief from period pain.
• Dental Pain: Helps ease pain following dental procedures.

• Swallow Etoshine tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush or chew the tablet, as this may affect the way the medication is absorbed in the body.
• Consult your doctor before changing the medication dose or taking them more often than prescribed.

Etoshine 60 mg tablet should be administered orally.

The active ingredient in Etoshine tablet is etoricoxib. It belongs to a class of medications known as selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitors. Etoricoxib inhibits the enzyme cyclooxygenase-2, which plays a role in the production of prostaglandins. These chemicals contribute to pain, inflammation, and swelling in the body.

By blocking the action of cyclooxygenase-2, this medication reduces the production of prostaglandins. It leads to a reduction in pain and inflammation. This medication selectively targets COX-2 enzymes while sparing the COX-1 enzymes, which protect the stomach lining and promote platelet function. It helps improve the symptoms associated with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and acute gout.

• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

• Maintain a healthy weight to reduce stress on the joints.
• To reduce inflammation, increase your intake of omega-3 fatty acids found in fatty fish, flaxseeds, and walnuts.
• Limit processed foods, saturated fats, and sugar, as they can contribute to inflammation.
• Limit or avoid high-purine foods such as red meat, organ meats, and seafood.
• Incorporate cherries, berries, and low-fat dairy products into your diet, which may help reduce gout attacks.
• Engage in low-impact exercises like swimming or cycling to strengthen muscles and improve joint flexibility.
• Practise good posture and perform stretching exercises to maintain spinal flexibility.
• Apply heat or cold packs to alleviate pain and stiffness in affected areas.

• Do not take this medicine if you have severe heart problems.
• Inform your doctor if you have a history of heart attacks or strokes.
