Estroplus Tablet is a combined oral contraceptive used to prevent pregnancy and regulate menstrual cycles. It also helps manage conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), heavy menstrual bleeding and severe period pain.
It contains ethinyl estradiol, an oestrogen, and dienogest, a progestogen, which work together to prevent ovulation and make the uterus less receptive to a fertilised egg. Take one tablet at the same time each day as prescribed. Continue taking it regularly, even during your period, unless your doctor advises otherwise.
If you miss a dose, follow the instructions in the patient leaflet or consult your doctor promptly, as missed doses can reduce contraceptive protection. Avoid smoking while taking this medicine, as it increases certain health risks.
Tell your doctor if you have a history of blood clots, migraine with aura, liver disease or breast cancer before starting this tablet. Report leg swelling, chest pain, sudden severe headache or vision changes to your doctor immediately, and have regular blood pressure check-ups.
